We have been to many health institutions trying to deal with my wife’s hip and hand issues. We finally got an appointment to see Dr Perez at Midwest Spine and Brain Institute. He identified a neck problem that required immediate surgery to correct. We are so grateful for the great team at the Institute, including Dr Perez and nurses Lisa and Alyssa. They were and still are great!

Dr Perez gave me the ability to be independent. My back was a mess to the point where I couldn’t stand to make dinner. He encouraged me to lose weight and was a wonderful cheerleader with my accomplishments. He is frank as to what he can achieve with surgery . I did my research for the best surgeon and found the best.

I had a laminectomy and fusion 1/21/18 This MD and his NP gave me my life back! Bold, gives the facts and is right to the point. I had 100% recovery and NP as helpful. I was never left in pain, wondering about what would happen. He was even willing to be a advocate for my health after having a accident 6 months later Tibeal/Plateau fx with compartment syndrome. Dr. Perez is blunt and doesn’t sugarcoat anything, which I really appreciated. He is an extremely skilled surgeon and was able to preform an L5S1 microdiscectomy in 45 minutes. His team of nurses is caring and compassionate. I would recommend him time and time again.

Dr. Perez performed L4-L5 fusion on me in 2010. From the first meeting Dr. Perez was direct and honest. I could clearly see that he was interested in the best possible outcome. List to and follow his post surgery instruction. It takes time and persistence for a good recovery. I am here to say I have my life back and today in 2016 have 0 pain. However I still to this day remember and follow his post surgery instructions. He tells it like it is and all you need to do is listen. PT team was great.
