Dr. Garner and his PA Kaylee are caring, and office people are efficient and caring. Due to arthritis in my spine, I have a lot of surgeries over the past 12 years. Originally he was recommended by an orthopedic surgeon from Cambridge, MN. Sometimes you have to wait at an appointment because Dr. Garner was doing emergency brain surgery. I am thankful that I am with a great surgical group.

I was very pleased with the quality and compassion of Dr. Garner and his team. I had an imperative need to have a brain tumor removed, as I was having debilitating symptoms such as falling, depth perception, sluggish thinking and brain pain. I was miserable! At surgery time I was very comfortable with what was to happen, as the team had thoroughly explained the procedure to me. Dr Garner was also ready to keep me in the loop on what was happening and was good to explain it all to my husband when I was in recovery. My ICU hospital staff was just lovely and I felt well cared for during my stay.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Garner and his PA, Kylee Persing. After years of chronic pain, misdiagnoses, and hitting dead ends, I finally found a team who not only listened — but looked deeper. I had consulted with multiple spine surgeons before finding Dr. Garner. Every single one recommended a spinal fusion — and all planned to approach it through the front of my neck. Dr. Garner was the only one who believed a fusion wasn’t necessary for someone my age and overall health. He also performed the procedure using a posterior approach, which spared me from a long, visible scar across the front of my neck. I’m incredibly grateful for that — and on top of it, he did an amazing job with my incision. My scar is barely noticeable, and I started getting compliments on how clean and well-healed it looked almost immediately. It’s healing beautifully. But what truly sets this team apart is their attention to detail and genuine care. In addition to addressing the spine issue I came in for, they also uncovered a neurological condition I’ve likely had my entire life — trigeminal neuralgia — which had always been dismissed as TMJ. No one else ever connected those dots. Their thoroughness gave me clarity and hope I didn’t think was possible. Kylee Persing was — and still is — an incredible support. She’s compassionate, responsive, and deeply knowledgeable. I always feel heard, informed, and cared for whenever I see her. Dr. Garner is not only a highly skilled surgeon, but someone who truly listens and puts his patients first. If you’ve been searching for answers or feel like no one is really seeing the full picture, I can’t recommend Dr. Garner and Kylee Persing enough. They gave me relief, answers, and my quality of life back.

I had hurt by back over 20 years ago. I was seeing a different Dr. who had performed 4 surgeries on me. I went to see Dr. Garner because I was still having a lot of pain and numbness in my back and leg. He ended up doing 4 surgeries on me. He has helped me to become more active and less pain. He does not push surgery unless it’s the only thing left to do. He will try shots, physical therapy and other alternatives first. His staff is so friendly from the moment you walk into the office and put you at ease. His PA’s are very knowledgeable and if they don’t know the answer they will find it out for you.

After months of severe pain and visits to several other neurosurgeons who treated me as if I was drug seeking, diagnosed with carpal tunnel and other incorrect diagnoses or told me nothing was wrong a friend who is also a nurse recommended Dr Garner. Dr Garner and his staff were wonderful. I was treated with kindness and respect. Dr Garner took to the time to really talk with me and to better understand my medical issues. A combination of physical therapy and meds allowed me to avoid another spinal fusion surgery (for now). I was able to get my degenerative disc disease and herniated discs pain under control and returned to work after being totally disabled for 11 weeks. I can’t recommend Dr Garner enough.

I do not believe there are enough words to express my appreciation for Dr Garner. I have had several surgeries and each time he has improved the quality of my life ten fold. I went to a dr in Lacrosse Wisconsin for my back originally and was informed he could do nothing more than install a morphine pump in my back. My wife insisted on a second opinion and that’s when I went to Dr Garner. I now walk without pain. I can never say thanks enough for what Dr Garner has done for my. The best ever ! TY
