Pseudoarthrosis Repair

Bones that do not heal after fracture are called nonunions or pseudoarthrosis. A pseudoarthrosis can result from the hardware used in a prior procedure; the type of bone graft, if any, used; your health habits, such as smoking; or other health conditions.

A revision surgery may be needed to correct a pseudoarthrosis. Some procedures may be minimally invasive, but others may require a traditional open approach.  Your surgeon will recommend the appropriate surgical approach for your particular condition.
