Craniotomy

A craniotomy is a surgical procedure that opens the skull (cranium) and allows access to the brain for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. It is one of the most common forms of brain surgery and is used to treat a variety of brain-related illnesses such as tumors, vascular anomalies, traumatic brain injuries, infections, and seizure disorders.
